We all staffs in Tokyo World Language Academy are pursuing ideal education. It is the education to make a man of character, so we are not teaching Japanese only to communicate, but to bring up the interchange of warm hearts. In addition, in Japanese education, we has put up three words as a creed: the gratitude, the intellect, and courage and wrestle so that a student can understand and acquire Japanese culture through the linguistic education. In these days, the purpose of a student who learns Japanese is diversifying. We prepared for selective courses so that students can accomplish their purposes.
First of all. we have a course for the purpose of the preparation for the entrance into a school of higher grade. In this course, we mainly make lectures about the entrance into a school of high grade; for example, graduate schools, universities, and vocational schools. And also, we are preparing classes for JLPT and JSTE. Besides, A student can take elective classes; for example, the general subject, English, mathematics, physics, and chemistry, if necessary.
Secondarily, we have the business Japanese course, BJT JETRO. We make the training to students who are hoping to find employment in Japan with imagining situations in the society of Japanese companies through the acquisition of essential conversation in Japanese companies, the acquisition of expression to make the communication smooth in companies, the acquisition of technical words to use. Such being the case, we have been thinking about a curriculum to pass the examination of BJT as a result of it.
Thirdly, we have Japanese cultural communicative course. The purpose of this course is making students’ knowledge to Japanese culture deepen by learning Japanese manners and custom with learning practical Japanese which learners can not learn in general textbooks. Therefore, we will make main textbooks newspapers and magazines in this course. Simultaneously, we can exactly say this is a luxurious course because students can learn so many skills; for example, ways of writing short essays and papers which are demanded from Japanese societies and jobs, the comprehension of Japanese classical and literature, making a radio drama acted by oneself after the training of pronunciation, and off campus classes.
Next, we also have a screening course. The purpose of this course is learning Japanese from dialogues and narration of pictures. For instance, students understand the current topics through the news on TV and exchange their opinions about them each other. In addition, students can really learn the practical Japanese expressions which are used in dairy life in Japan; for example, speaking languages and slangs, through dramas, animated cartoons, and each kind of program on TV. We believe that these practices will be useful to Japanese societies, which is demanded various ways of classes and the internationality.
